Первый капитальный мост через Днепр в городе Киев. Был заложен на месте старинной переправы 30 августа (11 сентября) 1848г. и построен в 1853г. по проекту английского инженера Чарльза Виньоля. Своими размерами он превзошёл сооружённый за несколько лет до него Цепной мост Сеченьи в Будапеште и стал одним из самых больших в Европе того времени. Дважды разрушался. До настоящего времени не сохранился. В 1963г. практически на том же месте был построен мост Метро.
Очередной мой авторский проект. Цель проекта посмотреть-показать каким мост был "при жизни", старался точно отобразить все элементы конструкции и передать атмосферу конца 19го века.

The foundation of the first capital bridge over the river Dnipro was laid at the place of an ancient ferry on August 30 (September 11) in 1848. It was finished in 1853. Designed by English engineer Charles Blacker Vignoles, it surpassed the Széchenyi Chain Bridge in Budapest to become one of the biggest bridges (of such type) in Europe in those days.
Twice destroyed, it didn't survived till the present day.

While working, I tried to depict every small element of the construction precisely and revive an atmosphere of the second half of the 19th century.
